    Hi There,

I am running into a scaling problem in assigning permissions.

I have a site with just over 5000 pages, divided into a hierarchical tree. When I try to add a user editing exception to “selected Pages” and “sub-Pages of” a top level page, the request times out. It appears that this action is adding two rows to the (prefix)_ppc_exception_items table for every page in the tree. With so many pages, this action is taking too long to execute.

Is there a way for the “sub-Pages” to cascade down, instead of being assigned to every page within the tree?
