There are methods to add a site’s categories to Pages (as WP content type). Since this is not the usual set-up, let me ask, with this scenario in place:

Would role access be controlled as expected if we wish to restrict editors to be able to edit Pages only of a certain category/ies?

Would role access be controlled as expected if user role also has access to a subsection of pages and is assigned category/ies? (Actual example: user assigned to edit parent and subpages of “Icing Project” and category “Aircraft” would only be able to edit pages that are both in that section of pages AND have that category).

Thanks. We’ve been reviewing at length the plugin’s features, but this was the one variable we didn’t see documented.

Permissions can be applied with the desired AND behavior if you configure it as follows:

    1. For security failsafe, start with a WP role that does not provide any page editing access. This ensures default protection if the plugin is deactivated.

    2. On the Edit Group/User Permissions screen, assign a supplemental Page Editor role

    3. Assign an exception for Page Association, with an “Only these” Adjustment and a Qualification of desired parent pages

    4. Assign an exception for Page Editing, with an “Only these” Adjustment and a Qualification of desired parent pages

    5. Assign another exception for Page Editing, with an “Only these” Adjustment and a Qualification desired Categories
